The Morse taper end is threaded for a 1/4" x 20 tpi drawbar. The mid-section is a wider diameter than the #2MT-A, giving the extra option of using it in a jaw chuck or in the Morse taper. *The spanner hole allows you to put an Allen wrench, screwdriver, anything 1/4" to use as leverage when the wood is very tight and hard to remove.
