Doctor's Woodshop Cutting Board Wax

This is a paste that was specifically formulated for use on cutting boards. Specially processed carnauba wax in Walnut oil provides a long lasting, tough protective surface, especially on end-grain cutting boards. Apply a thin coat of wax and melt it into the wood with a torch, heat gun or hair drier. When the wax is set, buff with a mechanical buffer or soft cloth.

Description:

This is a paste was specifically formulated for use on cutting boards. Specially processed carnauba wax in Walnut oil provides a long lasting, tough protective surface, especially on end-grain cutting boards. Apply a thin coat of wax and melt it into the wood with a torch, heat gun or hair drier. When the wax is set, buff with a mechanical buffer or soft cloth.

With use, the wax surface will be worn away. This is easily renewed by application of the cutting board wax. Remember that the walnut oil is still protecting the surface of the wood, even after the wax is gone.

Reapplication about once a year should be expected with heavy use.
